FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a marriage license?

No.  We at Blissful Nuptials are licensed notaries in Los Angeles County.  We want to make your nuptials as easy as possible, therefore we take away the hassle of dealing with the Los Angeles County Registrars office and provide this at our chapel as a part of our wedding package.

Are your wedding ceremonies legal?

Absolutely.  Every wedding ceremony performed at Blissful Nuptials are legal if all requirements set forth by the Los Angeles Registrar Recorder/County Clerk are met.

What is a micro-wedding?

A micro-wedding is an intimate marriage ceremony, typically with less than 50 guests. They still feature all wedding traditions that make a wedding but on a smaller scale.

What are the COVID rules for wedding ceremonies in Los Angeles?

Here at our Los Angeles wedding Chapel we believe in “safety first.”  We are committed to providing a safe wedding ceremony experience for you and your family as well as keeping our officiants and staff here at our Los Angeles wedding venue.  We follow the required guidelines set forth by the CDC and the state of California to the best of our ability.

Things to know before entering Blissful Nuptials:

  1. MASKS MUST BE WORN BY YOUR GUESTS AT ALL TIMES.

The masks must be properly worn covering the nose and mouth. If your guests remove their masks during the ceremony, the officiant is instructed to stop the ceremony until they re-mask appropriately. However, during the ceremony, the couple can remove their mask if they choose. Also, our officiant will always be masked and we ask that masks be worn while interacting before the ceremony.

  2. The established rules are for your guests to be social distanced and wearing masks during the ceremony.

  3. The couple and all ceremony guests will be required to sign a covid health risk acknowledgement and release form before the ceremony begins.

  4. The couple and officiant will be required to sanitize their hands before the marriage license appointment.

  5. The office and seating areas at our wedding chapel will be sanitized between each event.

Can I bring my own pastor or officiant to marry us?

Of course. If someone near and dear to you would make your special day even more special, then please bring them.  Just make sure they understand that the ceremony length at Blissful Nuptials is limited to 45 minutes.   Oh, and don’t forget this person must be ordained in order to marry you (legal credentials needed).

Can I bring my own photographer?

We only permit the use of phone cameras and smaller digital cameras here at Blissful Nuptials.

We only charge a fee if you bring professional equipment like DLSR cameras with detachable.  The flat fee of $200 allows your photographer to take as many pictures at our Los Angeles Wedding Chapel in your time allotment for your ceremony.

NOTE:  We will reduce your wedding package by $100 if you choose to bring outside ceremony photographers.

Do you provide music for the wedding ceremony?

Yes.  We can play music for your wedding guests while they wait for the big entrance.  For your “down the aisle” song, we play a single song of your choice.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Songs must be playable on Spotify (you may send the desired songs prior to the day of your wedding ceremony)

  2. The wedding procession song (the “down the aisle” song) should take no longer than 3-4 minutes. This allows enough time for the entire wedding party to walk down the aisle with the beautiful bride taking approximately 30-45 seconds.
